Truck Setup to include Overweight Permitting Fields

There are insurance date and license date expirations fields, but there is not a field to capture an overweight permit expiration date in which the system would use in validation on ticketing. Also not available are any other overweight fields such as capacity weight with permit (versus the standard) or permit #. The standard overweight capacity should be by the truck type but with a permit there is a new weight limit. If the permit is expired then the system could use the standard capacity in formula. By having only one field, manual entry to switch back weights when a permit is expired is extra work. Overweight information on a truck is standard information a system should incorporate for any state.

Another thought to add, is that within the system's Overweight Warning that you already have in place, that you could display the Permit # field (if you choose to build one) in that warning so the scaler to decide if it is okay to continue or not. Currently, with it being a Custom field for us on the truck, the overweight warning comes but we still don't know if it is okay to proceed (has a permit) or not (doesn't) without cancelling regardless to look at the truck's setup/profile.
