Enter Customer Name on Quotes without using Pop-Out

When creating a quote the system requires you to hit the magnifying glass to search for a customer. Is it possible to enable a search feature that allows you to search by typing the customer's name on the quote screen?

When creating a new quote, after selecting the region, the customer drop down becomes enabled. After clicking on the dropdown you can either select the desired customer, or begin typing the Customer's ID. The dropdown will then filter the results to try to match what was typed.
